NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Asotin County Board of Commissioners in the commissioner's chambers located at 095 Second Street, Asotin, WA 99402 on Monday, June 22 at 9:15 AM.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in the Asotin County service areas. Comments on Asotin County's and Community Action Partnership's past performance and use of the prior CDBG Public Services Grants will also be received.
For the 2026 program year (July 2026 - June 2027), up to $41,000 is proposed to be available to the county and Community Action Partnership to fund public services that principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons. For the 2025-26 program years, Asotin County and Community Action Partnership received $43,000.
An outline of the proposed activities and services for the 2026 program year can be requested by emailing bocc@asotincountywa.gov. Hard copies are available for review at the Asotin County Annex, 095 2nd St, 2nd Floor, Asotin, WA. Written comments may also be submitted in writing to Asotin County, PO Box 250, Asotin WA 99402 or via email to bocc@asotincountywa.gov.
