Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The City of Lewiston anticipates receiving its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation for the 2026 Program Year, marking the start of the local application process.
Interested applicants can access the 2026 CDBG Application Guide online at www.cityoflewiston.org/cdbg or pick up a copy at 215 D Street, Lewiston, Idaho, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning April 1, 2026. Applications must be submitted electronically through the application portal: https://portal.neighborlysoftware.com/lewistonid/Participant.
NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE MAILED AND ONLY
ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

CDBG-funded activities must align with the goals and objectives of the City of Lewiston's 2023-2027 Consolidated Plan and comply with all applicable federal requirements. The program awards funding as grants to carry out a wide range of community development activities directed toward revitalizing neighborhoods, economic development, and providing improved community facilities and services. The CDBG program is an important tool in helping local governments tackle the most serious challenges facing their communities. CDBG funds may be used for activities that include, but are not limited to: Acquisition of Real Property; Demolition and Clearance; Rehabilitation of Residential and Non-Residential Structures; Public Facilities and Improvements, such as water and sewer or streets; Public Services (within certain limits); and Economic Development.
