202202 NOTICE OF CANDIDATE FILING DEADLINE CITY OF MOSCOW, IDAHO NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Idaho Code 50-411: That the general election to be held in and for the City of Moscow, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The election will be held for the purpose of electing one (1) mayor for a four (4) year term and three (3) council members for a term of four (4) years each. Pursuant to Idaho Code 50-410, Candidates for city elected office are required to file a Declaration of Candidacy with the City Clerk specifying the office sought and affirming that the individual is a qualified city elector, meaning: at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, the candidate's primary residence must be within the city, the address of the candidate's voter registration must match the residence address provided on the candidate's declaration, and the candidate must have resided in the city for at least 30 days prior to submitting their declaration, and be a registered voter within the city at the time the declaration is filed. The Declaration of Candidacy must be accompanied by: (1) a nonrefundable filing fee of $40 or (2) a Petition of Candidacy signed by at least five qualified city electors with the signatures verified by the county clerk's office. The filing period begins on August 18, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. The deadline for filing a Declaration of Candidacy is Friday, August 29, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Declarations of Candidacy are available at City Hall in the office of the City Clerk at 206 E. 3rd Street, Room 304. Office hours for the week of August 18 are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, closed during the noon hour and closed on Friday August 22, and the office hours for the week of August 25 are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, closed during the noon hour.
