204921 LEWISTON CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of Lewiston will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on proposed fee increases on select fees and charges. The departments and/or programs noted below could: (1) increase the fee(s) collected by more than 5%, (2) be requesting a new fee(s) not charged the previous year, (3) be clarifying by changing the name of the fee, (4) changing the structure of the fee charged, and/or (5) consolidating fees from resolutions not superseded by the current fee schedule: Ambulance/EMS fees; Park fees for water access and the rental of facilities, community event boards, fields, concession stands and pickleball courts; Bryden Canyon Golf Course fees and cart storage fees; Normal Hill Cemetery fees for niches and internment for cremains; Business & Occupation License fees; Planning and Zoning Fees for applications, appeals, conditional use permits, variances and zoning changes; Permit fees for building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing; Fire fees related to LPG tanks, solar systems, combustible storage and flammable liquids, and inspection fees; Public Works connection and video inspection fees for Wastewater and fees for sidewalk, curb and gutter installs; Water Service utility fees and Stormwater Service fees. The proposed fee increases are due to additional cost of programs or an attempt by departments to recover costs through fees charged instead of tax increases. Said hearing will be held on June 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Second Floor Event Space at the Lewiston City Library, 411 D Street, Lewiston, Idaho.
