204539 WHITMAN COUNTY ELECTIONS NOTICE OF CANDIDATE FILING DEADLINES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, beginning April 20, 2026 and going through May 8, 2026 candidate filing by mail will occur. Online candidate filing begins May 4, 2026 and ends on May 8, 2026. Positions open for filing in Whitman County will be available to view on the Whitman County website at whitmancounty.gov Candidate filing forms are available on the Whitman County website. To file by mail, you will need to fill out a candidate filing form online, print and sign the form and mail it to our office at Whitman County Elections, PO Box 191, Colfax, WA 99111. Online filing starts on May 4th at 8:00 am at the link provided on our Whitman County website and will close on May 8th at 5:00 pm. The last day to withdraw your filed candidacy is May 11, 2026 by 5:00 pm. Should no person file for these open positions, a special three-day filing will take place July 29th-31st 2026. The Whitman County Elections department will be holding its lot draw on May 12th at 12 pm.
