203551 NOTICE OF ELECTION SPECIAL ELECTION - TUESDAY, February 10, 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Election will be held in Asotin County, State of Washington on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, to vote on a Capital Levy for Infrastructure, Safety, and Health Improvements. Clarkston School District residents that reside in Garfield and Whitman Counties will receive a ballot from Asotin County. Ballot title is as follows: PROPOSITION NO. 1 CLARKSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. J250-185 REPLACEMENT OF EXPIRING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND OPERATIONS LEVY The Board of Directors of Clarkston School District No. J250-185 adopted Resolution No. 25-09, concerning a proposition to finance educational programs and operations. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, to pay expenses of the District's General Fund educational programs and operations not funded by the State of Washington: Estimated Levy Rate/ Collection Year $1,000 Assessed Value Levy Amount 2027 $2.50 $5,427,961 2028 $2.50 $5,590,800 2029 $2.50 $5,785,524 2030 $2.50 $5,931,280 all as provided in Resolution No. 25-09. Ballot Delivery and Return Beginning January 23, 2026, ballots will be mailed to all active registered voters in the Clarkston School District. Replacement ballots are available by contacting the Asotin County Auditor's Office at (509) 243-2084 ext. 1534. Ballots may be returned by mail or in-person. Ballots must be postmarked or deposited by Election Day. Deposit boxes are available in the alley behind City Hall in Clarkston, in the parking lot behind Lincoln Middle School in the Clarkston Heights, in the parking lot of the Asotin County Courthouse, and during business hours at the Asotin County Auditor's Office 135 2nd Street, Asotin. Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Thursday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Fridays. Voting Assistance A disability access unit, to assist voters in marking their ballot, is available in the Auditor's office during normal business hours.
