206368 NOTICE: PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Nez Perce County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 17th at 6:00 p.m. in the Nez Perce County Courthouse, 1st Floor Conference Room, 1230 Main Street, Lewiston, Idaho concerning the following: TA2026-2 Commercial Solar Energy and Battery Energy Storage Facilities - A text amendment to add Commercial Photovoltaic Solar Energy Facilities and Battery Energy Storage Systems as conditional uses to the Nez Perce County Land Development Code, as follows: In Title 110: Establish Chapter 110.26 Commercial Photovoltaic Solar Energy Facilities and Battery Energy Storage Systems, which would regulate the development of solar energy systems and battery energy storage systems as a conditional use in Nez Perce County; and add these facilities to the conditional uses in the Agriculture (A), Agricultural Residential (AR), Forest (F), Light Industrial (I-1), and Low Impact Commercial Industrial (LCI) zones, subject to the standards set forth in Chapter 110.26. In Title 112: Establish Chapter 112.22 Commercial Photovoltaic Solar Energy Facilities and Battery Energy Storage Systems, which would regulate the development of solar energy systems and battery energy storage systems as a conditional use in the Lewiston Area of Impact; and add these facilities to the conditional uses in the Farm (F-1), Agricultural Transitional (F-2), Airport (A), Light Industrial (M-1), Heavy Industrial (M-2), and Port (P) zones, subject to the standards set forth in Chapter 112.22. In Section 101.01.030 Definitions: Add definitions for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Commercial Photovoltaic Solar Energy Facilities (CPVSEF), Concentrating Solar Thermal Devices, Photovoltaics (PV), and Solar Power Plant.
