Public Works Construction Advertisement for Bids

Sealed bids for the Project identified as the "Genesee Well No. 9 Well House and Water Distribution Improvements" will be received at City Hall, 140 E Walnut Ave, Genesee, ID 83832 until Bid Closing. The Project generally includes construction of a new well house at City Well No. 9, including well lot site work, fencing, installation of a pitless unit and submersible turbine pump and motor in Well No. 9, well house building construction, well house yard and mechanical piping, well house HVAC, and related electrical, instrumentation, and controls work required for a complete and fully functioning municipal potable water production facility; and various water distribution system improvements.
The Project is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act as administered by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality and the US Department of Agriculture-Rural Development. The construction contractor must comply with equal employment opportunity, prevailing wage, and American Iron and Steel requirements.
Date and time of bid opening: Bids will be received until Bid Closing, July 9th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bids will be received after the Bid Closing time. Tallied results will be provided to all bidders. Bids will not be accepted by email or fax. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held June 25th, 2026. Interested bidders shall meet at Genesee City Hall at 1:00 p.m. local time. Bids must be submitted on the prescribed forms. A bid bond or certified check or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, including any add alternates, shall be submitted with the sealed bid. All bids submitted shall be in compliance with applicable public works construction laws for the State of Idaho, including but not limited to Idaho Code 67-2310 and Idaho Code 54-1902. The City of Genesee reserves the right to reject any and all bids and the right to waive any informalities contained in any bid.
