The Department of Natural Resources intends to negotiate a wind energy lease for the following five (5) tracts having the corresponding legal descriptions:
Tract 1: Portions of NE1/4 and Portions of the N1/2 of the SE1/4 as described in Statutory Warranty Deed recorded 7/31/2003, records of Garfield County, Washington, all in Section 34, Township 12 North, Range 44 East, W.M., Garfield County, Washington, containing approximately 107.2 acres. Tax Parcel ID: 80124403440000000.
Tract 2: Portions of NW1/4 and Portions of the NW1/4 of the SW1/4 as described in Statutory Warranty Deed recorded 7/31/2003, records of Garfield County, Washington, all in Section 35, Township 12 North, Range 44 East, W.M., Garfield County, Washington, containing approximately 75 acres. Tax Parcel ID: 80124403510000000.
Tract 3: The E1/2 of the NE1/4 and portion of the S1/2 as described in Statutory Warranty Deed recorded 7/31/2003, records of Garfield County, Washington, all in Section 27, Township 12 North, Range 44 East, W.M., Garfield County, Washington, containing approximately 207 acres. Tax Parcel ID: 80124402740000000.
Tract 4: The W1/2 of NE1/4 and the NW1/4 and a portion of the SW1/4 as described in Statutory Warranty Deed recorded 7/31/2003, records of Garfield County, Washington, all in Section 26, Township 12 North, Range 44 East, W.M., Garfield County, Washington, containing approximately 390.5 acres. Tax Parcel ID: 80124402620000000.
Tract 5: The S1/2 of the SW1/4 and the SW1/4 of the SE1/4 of Section 23, Township 12 North, Range 44 East, W.M., Garfield County, Washington, containing approximately 120 acres. Tax Parcel ID: 80124402330000000.
The property is zoned as Agricultural by Garfield County and the subject property contains 900 acres more or less.
In compliance with WAC 332-22-105, if interested, please submit a written request of interest to negotiate a ground lease on or before May 6, 2026 to Jim Woodward, Clean Energy Program Manager, DNR Product Sales & Leasing Division, 1111 Washington Street NE, Olympia, WA 98504-7014, mlcep@dnr.wa.gov.
The successful lessee will be responsible for obtaining all federal, state, county or other permits required to conduct the desired activity on these parcels.
Applications must be submitted to DNR, Attn: Jim Woodward, PO Box 47014, Olympia, WA 98504-7014, no later than May 6, 2026.
