DETERMINATION OF
NONSIGNIFICANCE (DNS)
Whitman County Planning issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:
Beginning Fall 2026, Palouse Conservation District proposes a riparian buffer restoration project along an unnamed tributary in Section 22, Township 16N., Range 45E., W.M., Whitman County, WA. Copies of the SEPA DNS are available at no charge from the Planning Division located on the second floor of the Public Service Building, 310 N. Main Street, Colfax, WA 99111. The public may submit environmentally-focused written comments to the Planning Division which can be submitted in person, by email to Grace Di Biase at grace.dibiase@whitman
county.gov, or mailed to: Whitman County Planning Division, P.O. Box 430, Colfax, WA 99111. There is a 14-day comment period for the SEPA DNS which begins Thursday, August 27, 2026, and ends by 5:00 PM Thursday, September 10, 2026.
