205749 ORDINANCE NO. 433 AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2026, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $6,064,112 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSE AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF GENESEE FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR, AUTHORIZING A LEVY OF A SUFFICIENT TAX UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY AND SPECIFYING THE OBJECTS FOR PURPOSES FOR WHICH SAID APPROPRIATION IS MADE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Genesee, Latah County, Idaho. Section 1: That the sum of $6,064,112 be, and the same is appropriated to defray the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of Genesee, Latah County, Idaho for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026. Section 2: The objects and purposes for which such appropriation is made, and the amount of each object and purpose is as follows. ESTIMATED GENERAL FUND EXPENDITURES General Administration 260,000 Police Department 14,400 Fire Department 126,412 Street Department 469,300 Sanitation 215,000 Parks & Recreation 186,000 TOTAL GENERAL FUND EXPENDITURES 1,271,112 WATER FUND Water Fund 543,000 Water Capital Project 2,755,000 TOTAL WATER EXPENDITURES 3,298,000 SEWER FUND Sewer Fund 495,000 Sewer Capital Project 1,000,000 TOTAL SEWER FUND EXPENDITURES 1,495,000 TOTAL ALL FUNDS - BUDGETED EXPENDITURES 6,064,112 Section 3: That a general tax levy on all taxable property within the City of Genesee be levied in an amount allowed by law for the general purposes for said City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026. Section 4: All ordinances and parts of ordinances In conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 5: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its passage, approval and publication in one issue of the Moscow Pullman Daily News, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Moscow, and the official newspaper of the City of Genesee.
